About

Core Community Consulting

Working together is about trust. You’re entrusting aspects of your life, next steps, and complicated family dynamics, all of which are a big deal.

So, we want you to know how Core Community got started, why you can trust us, and what we believe about “community” being the key to successful reintegration within criminal justice.

The Beginning

We got tired of telling families, “sorry we can’t help you.” Our justice system has limitations when it comes to community reintegration. Though agencies try, confidential barriers and time restraints limit accessibility and communication with family, which is one of the largest indicators of success.

Often a loved one is ill-equipped or unfamiliar with many of the justice processes, yet still expected to step in and help when it comes time for living options, transportation or financial support.

With Very. Little. Notice.

We’re tired of being the bearer of bad news and creating fear and anxiety for the people that are part of the solution. There’s help for the individual. It’s time for families to also get the help and access they need to support their loved one’s well, without losing themselves in the process.

Community support and transparency makes all the difference.

Why you can trust Core Community

We’ve seen it all (or nearly most) so you won’t get surprises, shock, or stigma when you share your situation.

We see ourselves as advocates. We support you as you support your loved one with twenty years of combined professional experience and education in criminal justice.

We’ve worked with all different criminal offenses, situations and outcomes. We’re not going to judge your situation or make you consider things outside your control. No matter what stage you’re in the timeline (pretrial, post-sentencing and supervision, court programs, drug treatment, and incarceration), we’ve been to countless court proceedings and understand how stressful these can be.

Our connections in the community make us resourceful and solution oriented.

We recognize that these situations are incredibly challenging and want to provide you with the correct information and experiences to minimize the challenges in your family’s journey.

We care about the community and want to give you and your loved one the best opportunity at a second chance.

“People don’t care about how much you know, until they know how much you care.”

-Theodore Roosevelt
